Eagle Scouts from Troop 813
To earn the rank of Eagle a Scout must prior to reaching their 18th birthday, earn a total of 21 Merit Badges of which 10 are required, provide leadership to their unit for six months after earning their Life Rank, and plan, develop, and give leadership to a that benefits a religious instutition, a school, or a community organization. This project is ofter refered to as their "Eagle Project" and is one of the more challegneing parts of earning the Rank of Eagle. These young men put a termendious amount of work into earing Eagle, which is why so few of the boys that join Scouting actually complete their Trail to Eagle.
More than 35 Scouts have earned their Eagle since Troop 813 was founded in 1988. These young men have provided thousands of service hours to the community through their Eagle Service Projects and have lead our Troop since the very beginning.

The Eagle Scout award is earned by less than 4% of the young men that join Scouting. It is one of the most respected and honored awards a young man can earn. Notable Eagle Scouts are journalist Walter Cronkite, first man to walk on the moon, Neil Armstrong along with more than 25 other astronauts, the 38th President of the United States Gerald Ford, actor James Stewart, and Film director/producer Steven Speilberg.
When you see one of these men, tip your hat to them knowing how much they have given to Troop 813 and how much you benefit from their efforts.
